The Milano Makers Association in collaboration with the municipalities of Faenza, Albissola and Laterza, with Mic, AiCC, Ente Ceramica Faenza and Milan Fall Design City 2019; with the patronage of the Municipality of Milan, Boschi Di Stefano House Museum and Municipio Tre; with thanks to the Boschi-Di Stefano Foundation at the Italian Touring Club - invite Ceramica al Centro, author and design ceramics, exhibition dedicated to Alessandro Mendini , set up in the prestigious Boschi-Di Stefano di Casa Milan.
The opening press conference will be held Thursday 21st November 2019 at 11.00 at the Boschi Di Stefano House Museum in via Giorgio Jan 15 (Metro Lima ).
From 22nd November to 12th January the ceramics from the CERAMICS, FOOD AND DESIGN, TOGETHER, CERAMIC AUTHORIAL JEWELRY and MANO E TERRACOTTA collections will be on display.
Exhibition hours: 10.00 - 17.00 closed on Mondays.
"The peculiarity of this House Museum [...] is that of permanently allowing its visitors to feel part of a house that not only exhibits a collection, but which is a symbol of the 20th century in Milan. Designed by Pietro Portaluppi for the family of the entrepreneur from the Marche region Francesco Di Stefano, in the areas of new expansion of the city, the house has witnessed the transformations of Milan from the late 1920s to today "(cit. "For the first time gathered in a large exhibition curated by Maria Christina Hamel, there will be on display over forty ceramic design works by thirty-nine different authors created in the best artisan workshops in Faenza, Alibissola and Laterza ". Among the participating artists there will also be Gianni Cella, who got to know and collaborate on several occasions with Alessandro Mendini.
