The reason for the title Visibility reduced is in reference to making art in times of crisis, when the visibility of the exit from the "tunnel" is rather limited.
It is also in relation to the fact that the visibility of artists, at a time when priorities appear to be other than art and culture in general, is also further reduced. About this exhibition the two artists have declared:
“The restlessness, fear, uncertainty, anxiety, instability, obsession, disillusionment, discouragement, the visionary gaze of our generation have paid off. These are just a few on display. It is however from pain and despair that the best jobs are born. Illuminations are rare and unpredictable, they come when it seems to them and fill everything. The most difficult times are the moments when you have to give your best.
"Gianni Cella, already neo-futurist, has always favored the three-dimensional figure, characterized by bright colors. Gabriele Lamberti, formerly a medialist, chose painting as an expressive medium. The common ground on which they had met for the first time in 2004 on the occasion of a bipersonal at the Galleria Maria Cilena in Milan, which was reconfirmed at the Studio Vigato, in Via Santa Marta 19 also in Milan and will now be presented in Alessandria, is that of bittersweet irony of the treated themes representative of an iconic imaginary
apparently playful and light-hearted but which refers to a profound disenchanted thought, sometimes alarmed and always restless.
Their figures evoke that dimension of tragic shipwreck of the illusions of Savinian memory resolved at the same time with completeness and definition. They also have a sensitive empathy in which stereotypes of popular figurativeness, dramatic elements and abstract structures belonging to our era are united and transfigured. For this occasion, the artists have decided to duet also on the rhythms of dynamism and stillness and on the alternation of tones and colors.
The works on display are all recent and significant of their latest research which, while moving on the emotional wave of new and different solicitations, maintain a constant relationship with their history now more than twenty years old.
